I am a Clinical Psychologist practicing via Telehealth from the north shore of Sydney, Australia. I am a fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists, and registered with AHPRA. I specialise in the mental health and wellbeing of women across the lifespan: adolescents and young adults 16 yrs and older, women in the perinatal period, mid-life, and senior years.
I graduated from the University of Sydney in 1991 with a Master of Psychology (Clinical) and have worked to promote the wellbeing of individuals and families across the lifespan in a variety of settings incuding community health, hospital and private practice.
My approach is to individually tailor therapy for each client to facilitate their movement toward what they most value, and to equip them with the understanding, skills and knowledge to continue growing as a person into the future, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches.
It is my hearfelt conviction (and supported by empirical research) that underpinning any successful therapy is the quality of the therapeutic relationship, and I pride myself on having the warmth, compassion, life experience and sense of humour to be with clients where they are at.
I love to read, hate cooking, and am the proud mother of two gorgeous high school-aged girls, two cats and two rather overenthusiastic labradoodles.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the Therapynook service using the contact form.
